A question...

Where around the Cambridge Somerville Boston Brookline metropolitan
area are there any specialty shops that offer bread made from chickpea
flour already prepared?... or restaurants that prepare bread made from
chickpea flour for takeout?... or any already prepared bread made from
chickpea flour available by mail order?...

Jennifer, don't tell me you ate cooked pears! Oh wait, now I remember -- you'll eat them hot in savory dishes but not in desserts.

Do you think the recipe would turn out OK if I dropped the heavy cream from the list of ingredients? I tried the shrimp with chardonnay-dijon cream sauce from back in February and the sauce was not to my taste at all, though I later sauteed my leftover shrimp in the oil and wine and found it yummy.

Oops! First the recipe read one pint, but I called Larry and he said it was probably more like a cup, so I changed it. I vouch for Fredric's math--at least in this case. As I always say, if journalists were good at math, we'd actually be somewhere making money...

Read the recipe again. 1 cup = 8 ounces = 1/2 pint.
