Dominio de Tares Baltos Mencia, Bierzo

Tonight Fredric Koeppel has a wine for us that’s a bit off our tried-and true list. I’m looking forward to sampling this Spanish red and am planning to run by Fresh Market on the way home and pick up a couple of gorgonzola burgers for the grill. Take a look at the art on this label and be prepared to offer your idea of what it is. I can tell you that Fredric and I had completely different ideas. See you back at 7.

The wine for next week, by the way, is Anne Amie Cuvee a Amrita (it’s a white wine) and Marshall Criss, co-owner of The Tennessean in Collierville, is our expert. He’s going to share chef Dave Krog’s recipe for champagne-spiked cold cucumber soup and I’ll post it when I get it.

Well, The Spanish wine label is a night club in Spain and those are the dancers on the floor dancing! Really have no idea but thats what it looks like to me…Hope the wine makes you as happy as those people seem to be.
