I almost never have dessert at a restaurant, but I can’t miss at least sharing a piece of the buttermilk pie at the Napa Cafe.

Great apple pie is at Circa. I believe the pie won first place at The Farmer’s Market pie contest last year.

The caramel pecan pie at Soul Fish (a la mode) is delightful, and the pies (especially the coconut cream) at Jim-n-Nicks are all worthy contenders. Also, fried apple pie at A&R Barbecue on Elvis Presley (I’ve been told that some of the other locations lack this specialty, and I’ve not returned to see if they’ve corrected the error of their ways).

The caramel pecan pie at Soul Fish is always excellent. And no mention of pie can ignore the fudge pie at Westy’s (formerly the North End). As far as the cream pie variety go, I’m partial to the coconut cream and the lemon icebox at the Germantown Commissary.

Love the Bananas Foster Pie at Texas de Brazil, but I heard later that they order their desserts from Sysco!
Had the Blueberry Pie from Fresh Market the other day, and it was to die for!

Well, I was going to say the Cappucinno Cheesecake at the Kwik Check on Madison Ave, but then I realized that it is technically cake.
I’m still submitting it in case you don’t do a cake category.
By the way, where are all the photos coming from? Everything pictured looks delicious.

The Piccadilly has good homemade pies, in particular, their Coconut Chess Pie. The Chantilly Key Lime pie at Jim’s Place is good, too. But it really would be a shame not to mention the K-Pie at Paulette’s…whether or not it tastes like Mom made it, it’s fantastic.

I really enjoy the homemade key lime pie at Frank Grisanti’s Italian restaurant. No other pie that I’ve tasted compares it it.

All of Jim ‘N Nick’s cream pies are good, particularly the lemon & coconut. I agree about A&R’s fried pies - the ones from the Elvis Presley Blvd. location are best. My favorites there are sweet potato or peach, made from dried peaches the old fashioned way. I usually don’t get dessert either unless I’m sharing an entree or having soup & salad. But any of those pies are worth getting to go. When Ronnie Grisanti was on Beale Street years ago, his mother-in-law made desserts for the restaurant. We always teased him that they were the only items on the menu not full of garlic.

Lulu Grille had the best coconut pie. Germantown Commissary is a close second.

The Pie Lady can usually be found at the Farmer’s Market downtown. She’s got the best pies on this earth. I just wish I could figure out if she sells to any local restaurants.

Let’s not forget about Paulette’s famous K Pie. The best experience I had with it was a work function. Someone who was a little intoxicated and had never eaten at Paulettes before saw one go by and wanted to know what the dessert was that came with its own shot. Of course, I ordered one and showed her what the shot was for…

For those in the West Memphis/Marion area, or those who are up for a road trip, you must try the pies at Big John’s in Marion, AR. Easc one tastes just like Mom made…or even better!

My vote would go to the blueberry pies at Fresh Market. Best I’ve tasted since my childhood in the days of the roadside diners in the Ozarks.
The Half Shell has a pretty good key lime pie.

While not in Memphis, the pies at the Crystal Grill in Greenwood, Miss. are the best I’ve ever had. A slice is worth the drive.

I know lots of you travel I40 to Nashville. You can’t beat any pie at The Log Cabin at 15530 Highway 13 S, Hurricane Mills, TN, exit 143. I particularly like the coconut but my wife love the chocolate. They have been great for at least 20 years. I believe a local lady makes them for the restaurant.

I don’t know how they make it, but the Key Lime Pie with Caramel Whipped Cream at Encore is off the chain. I’ve also tasted their Pecan Pie with Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream which the chef makes and it’s like no other.

The pies at the Silver Caboose Restaurant on the Collierville Square are awesome. Julie makes them there. Our favorite is the chocolate chess. You can also buy whole pies for home, pot lucks, or when you need to take a meal to someone.
