CA reader Brenda wants a list of restaurants where you can eat outdoors. She’s looking for full meals, not an appetizer menu.
Here are a few places that come to mind. As far as I know, the full menu is available outdoors.
Alfred’s
Tsunami ( a few tables)
Celtic Crossing
Zinnie’s (East)
Boscos
Cafe Toscana (at least at lunch)
LuLu Grill did, so Ciao Bella probably will when it opens
Yia Yia’s
King Biscuit
Add to the list. We should end up with a long one and tomorrow the daytime temperature drops to the 70s–perfect patio weather…

Add High Point Pizza to the list. Its got a nice little patio and it’s in a residential neighborhood so there’s not a ton of traffic to yell over.

Germantown recently passed some kind of ordinance encouraging outdoor dining (in preparation for new urbanism and smart code that is going to transform the center of town). All the restaurants in the Poplar/G’town Rd. area are putting in outdoor dining and having drink/food specials at certain times.

Hands down the very best kept secret as far as Memphis patio dining is concerned, is Felicia Suzanne’s, the courtyard is open for dining, small tapas (if you like Felicia will half portion anything on her menu as well) or drinks and offers one of the largest outdoor seating areas in town. The water feature, strung white lighting and cool/jazzy music creates a lovely evening for enjoying the beautiful Memphis climate

Half Shell on Winchester if you’re out east - plus they serve full meals til 3 am.

It seems like Umai might have a table or two outside, I’m not sure.

One of the very best patios in town that everyone always seems to forget is at Jarrett’s. It’s surrounded by Azalea bushes and is always nicely shaded by overhanging trees and has a nice fenced in, tucked away feel to it.
