Really looking forward to our department’s annual Christmas lunch… which we’re having today at Felicia Suzanne’s.
Course, no group decision is without drama. Some staffers were shocked at the prices. Ten bucks for a grilled cheese… with truffle oil and sweet potato chips, though.
We finally came to a consensus… and I’m so glad. This is such a special spot.
Where’s your holiday lunch/party/dinner/drink-fest going to be?

This year we’re dining @ Paulette’s. Last year was Jim’s Place East. Paulette is gonna have to be on her toes to beat Jim! Happy holidays all you food bloggers!

We had ours this week at the Tower Room Grille. Great space, great food and a wonderful view with a ton of options to make the party whatever you want it to be. I would recommend them for any group.
Merry Christmas!

Ours is next Wednesday at One Market Restaurant in San Francisco.
It is a seated dinner and we had to give our menu choices ahead of time. Our choices?
1) Wild fennel pollen-marinated steelhead trout with braised fennel, niçoise olive vinaigrette, and red pepper compote
2) Roast chicken breast with braised leg meat and wild mushroom
3)Almondwood-grilled New York Steak with celery root puree and port wine braised cippolini onions
The rest of the menu:
Butternut squash soup with black trumpet mushrooms and applewood smoked bacon
Bibb lettuce salad with Point Reyes blue cheese, shaved pears, candied walnuts and mustard seed vinaigrette
Pumpkin cheesecake with maple cream

Lulu Grille, Tues. night - can’t wait! I can almost taste the coconut cake
I was treated to lunch at The Tower Room for my b-day in Oct. & it was excellent.

Where I work it is a pot luck with the managers supplying the hame and turkey.
Guess what I brought? Three Britling recipe homemade Chess Pies. I got the recipe from the CA’s Recipe Finder’s files!
They were good!
