Got a call from a reader this morning asking if they could serve a banana pudding that they made a week ago to their Sunday school group… would you? Ack, visions of black bananas!!
I got a call earlier in the week from a sweet man trying to find a bread pudding recipe… because his mother died without teaching him how to make it. So many recipes, how could we find one that would be right???
I am always happy to talk with people about food, most are very nice. But one gent in Easy Way asked me: Are you Leslie Kelly? Yes. Well, he said, I’m one of your biggest detractors… OK, have a nice day!

Maybe he thought detractor meant fan. People get confused. By the way, I had a great meal at Erling Jensen the other night. It has to be the best restuarant in town.

I think you have the makings of a contest here. The winner gets a t-shirt with “Leslie’s Biggest Detractor” on the front and your face under a Ghostbusters “NO” circle on the back. I am picturing an essay contest with ten-thouand entries that all essentially say, “man! Leslie gets to eat at all the coolest places!” If I win, I promise the shirt will be getting bbq sauce spills for years to come.

I agree about the week old banana pudding - if it had meringue on it, that would be pretty disgusting too (yuck!) Maybe he doesn’t want those guests to come back anytime soon, if ever!

Ban on smoking - do we really need another law ?
If an owner feels it is in his best interest not
to allow smoking let him do so.
If a dinner dose not want to eat there let him
do so.
Let people decide not the Gov.
Another law gets us closer to more laws.
Maybe we should BAN REAL BUTTER , it is bad for
are hearts. NO MORE LAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey leslie, its brooke, claire’s friend. I just wantes to let you know how upset i am that you guys are moving. i read you rarticle almost every week!!!! no one will ever be able to replace you. you will be missed so mych by the memphis community. when i come to seattle to visit you guys, you will have to fill me in on some of the good restraunts. anyways, i just wantd to tell you that i will miss you guys so much. we have to keep in touch. i love you

My eating of butter does not affect the health of others. By eating butter, I am not forcing others to ingest it.
Besides.. what the heck does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Where in this post does this topic even come up?
