Aaah, another excuse to indulge. I don’t even buy Halloween candy because the temptation is too great. But if I did, maybe tomorrow on sale, in my shopping cart: Mounds, Baby Ruth, Big Hunk, Sugar Babies, peanut M&Ms, lemon drops, caramel apple pops and Pop Rocks.
What about you? What’s your weakness when it comes to bite-size bars?
Now, the spooky part: I’ve read two stories in the New York Times over the past few days about the benefits of going on a near starvation diet. That eating the minimum makes for a longer, healthier life.
Killjoys!
I’m sticking to my Julia Child-inspired mantra: All things in moderation. (Well, except when it comes to Halloween candy…) Oh, by the way… not my baby pictured above. Just some random tot on the net… sure do welcome any pics you want to send my way for posting of cutie pies eating themselves silly on sweets.

There’s a special place in my heart for 3 Musketeers fun-size bar… those and Snickers.
Normally, I’m a chocolate snob. I admit it.
And I’m with you - no near starvation for me! I live around far too much really good food to deprive myself of it.

You might live longer, but what would be the point? No, thanks.
I’ve already shared a mini box of Junior Mints with my toddler this afternoon and I am trying very hard to resist the Sweetarts in my candy bowl. Gotta save them for the onslaught tonight!

If I were still eating candy, which I’m not (I didn’t lose 50 lbs since Jan 1 for nothin’!), a bag of mini Snickers wouldn’t be safe anywhere near me.

My favorite candies are holiday exclusives.
First, if it’s marshmallow and dipped in chocolate…it’s got my name on it. Hearts, Rabbits or Eggs, Turkey’s and Santas…bring them on. Of course, Peeps comes from the angels. Then there’s candy corn that I can eat as if it were popcorn. And at Christmas, it would be politically incorrect to say what my father called them…but there’s a chocolate covered pyramid type candy that has white nougat on the inside. If you put it between to saltine crackers and put in the microwave a few seconds…the tongue will slap your brain trying to get to it.

Three Musketeers, Chunky, Baby Ruth, & Heath or Skor. You know the old saying about people either eat to live or live to eat? What point is there in mere eating to live?! It is downright painful to look at Nicole Richie these days.

I love Heath and Skor bars, but had to give ‘em up (Dentist’s orders). I’m still a sucker (no pun intended) for anything chewy…Tootsie Rolls, Skittles, Mike & Ike’s, Starburst and the little caramel things with white icing in the middle. Yum… I had five trick or treaters before I left for school last night…and none after I returned at 7:30. The little gobblins (or their parents) gave up early!
