I’ve been wanting to buy hubby a new flask, as he wore his old one out… memories, light the corners of my mind!
It just popped into my head again because I got an email saying Amy and The Tramps (if you haven’t seen her, you need to… and if you have, you need to see her again) is playing Thursday at the Madison Hotel’s Sunset on the Roof series… it’s $7 at the door and then spendy (weak) drinks at the cash bar…
Where should I go shopping for a new flask?

Perhaps this has been mentioned already but last Fall you were looking for Michael Mattio. NPR radio did a very moving interview with a Michael Mattio several monthes ago(you can listen to it online). I discovered your message when I googled Mr. Mattio’s name as I keep wondering how I can help him and his family. Just thought I’d bring this to your attention in case nobody else did. My favorite gift shop might have such a thing. If they don’t, you’ll at least “discover” a lot of cool gifts for future presents.
Reprinted from a back issue of Memphis Magazine: “MIDTOWN–Bella Notte is as unself-consciously wonderful as they come. The little gift den lacks pretension, and has beautiful glassware, fun soaps, and myriad other little surprises in spades. 2172 Young Avenue, 726-4131.”
Enjoy!

If you are looking for a nice one (one that might be given as a groom’s gift), I would check out Gift & Art in Poplar.

How about a flask disguised as a transistor radio? Quite effective for Tiger games! Ebay has quite a few for sale.

I haven’t had luck at Williams sonoma outlet, but I always check. Did get a so-so one at World Market about a month ago. Wonder if Viking Culinary store downtown sells them?
