On Saturday, my family will fly to Seattle to visit relatives and friends and do some skiing, weather permitting. It’s actually colder in Memphis than in Sandpoint, Idaho, where we’ll be skiing. Check out the webcam on this site.
My suitcase is already stuffed with dry rub and barbecue sauce, pecan brittle and I’m hoping for the best with a couple of tubs of pimento cheese from Holiday Ham. What else should I bring to show off the fine flavors of Memphis?

And I forgot to say - have a great Holiday! You’ve enlivened the Memphis eating scene and I’ve enjoyed reading and participating in your blog.

Too bad that the ham & biscuits at Bryan’t won’t travel well. How about some country ham?

I always travel with Wicker’s Original BBQ Marinade as a gift. Also, Mahatma’s Red Beans & Rice mix (made in Memphis) is easy to fix and easy to pack.

Take along Mr. Slim/Trim and Thirteen. Just be sure to come back.
Have fun on Schweitzer Mtn and bring back anything with Huckleberries. Happy Holidays!
