Things I wish I didn’t know…

While buying presents, I made the mistake of sampling the pecan brittle at Dinsthul’s Candies. IT’S SO GOOD!! Why would anyone ever settle for peanut brittle when they could have pecan brittle???

Now, I’m thinking about it… maybe I should just keep one of those boxes I was planning to give away. Oh, Santa would be so disappointed in me!!

Is there any gift that you’ve had second thoughts about… decided to keep it after all??

I’m carrying an umbrella that I actually bought for my mother as a Christmas gift AND wearing a shirt that I bought for my aunt as a birthday gift. I have replaced Mom’s gift, but I never did replace my aunt’s shirt. I think I sent her a nice card.

While I haven’t tried Dinstuhl’s pecan brittle yet (& thanks for the tip) . . . back when flying with the Tennessee Air National Guard, we always welcomed Sergeant Gary Dinstuhl as a crew member on cross-country and international flights because Gary arrived at pre-flight briefings with a ton of fresly-batched peanut brittle for the crew to munch on while in the air. There were NEVER any doggy bags on landing!

Did you get a chance to try the Cashew Crunch…yum!

Oh my gosh, yes, keep one for yourself!! I do this just about every Christmas. I’ve finally figured out the problem (MY problem, anyway), which is …. I hardly ever ’splurge’ on myself throughout the year. So, when I start Christmas shopping for friends/family, I’ll see all kinds of little things I’d like to have, so sometimes I’ll buy 2 - one for myself and one for the intended. Sometimes, though, it is an after thought … I buy it for someone else, then decide that I like it and have to buy them something else.
